Quite peaceful and pretty along the river. Trail was not all that hard. Didn't do the full walk as it was raining a bit and kids were tired so only did about 500m before turning around.

Beautiful place to walk! Very calming. Bring mozzie repellent due to Ross River Virus risk.

In this age of feral fauna management and (the unfortunately necessary) baiting, this walk is an amazing experience with your quadruped.Love it.

The 14km (total) out and back trail is one not to miss! It features a wide range of flora as well as picturesque views of the Kalgan River. It's family friendly however there's no camping allowed and isn't pram friendly. Highly recommend.

This 7.7km bushwalk in beautiful bushland, along the river is an easy half day (2-3 hour) trek with spectacular views and a safe walking track, sometimes narrow. Pack a light picnic and enjoy the serenity on one of the boulders on the river, or take the kayak for a water stroll if you'd prefer to take it all in via the estuary. After your walk, windown near the carpark with friends and refreshments Great for the soul!

I loved this walk, such a beautiful part of the world! It is a relatively easy hike, I didn't complete the full length but according to my walking companion did a good portion of it.Watching the bream swim right up to the rocks was lovely early in the walk. The trees and smaller natives lovely to observe. I'd been told to visit during wildflower peaks but honestly the foliage and bark patterns and canopy in and of themselves were captivating. The little waterfall with bridge across was entrancing. The bird-life (in particular kookaburras, magpies and pelicans) showing off even though it was late morning.A couple of King Skinks observed in shady areas, always a pleasure to see these gentle big lizards. The bee hive part way through is well signed, and the bees calm about us passing by quietly - though we did pick up our nosy Jack Russell pup hiking companion just in case. The Kalgan River is majestic, clear calm water with predominantly natural scenery on one side makes me want to get a kayak and just float around and enjoy the sites.

Not as good as some other hikes, there was some birdlife but not too much in terms of flora, maybe it's the wrong time of year.
